As you walk up the steps to the Capitol building, which houses the Supreme Court, you can see near the top of the building a row of the world’s lawgivers and each one is facing one in the middle, who is facing forward with a full frontal view – it is Moses and the Ten Commandments!

As you enter the Supreme Court courtroom, the two huge oak doors have the Ten Commandments engraved on each lower portion of each door. As you sit inside the courtroom, you can see the wall, right above where the Supreme Court judges sit. Here’s a display of the Ten Commandments!

There are Bible verses etched in stone all over the federal buildings and monuments in Washington, D.C.

James Madison, the fourth President, known as the “Father of our Constitution”, made the following statement: “We have staked the whole of our political institutions upon the capacity of mankind for self-government, upon the capacity of each and all of us to govern ourselves, to control ourselves, to sustain ourselves according to the Ten Commandments of God.”

Patrick Henry, that patriot and founding father of our country said, “It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded not by religionists but by Christians, not on religions but on the gospel of Jesus Christ.”

Every session of Congress begins with a prayer by a paid preacher whose salary has been paid by the taxpayers since 1777.

52 of the 55 founders of the Constitution were members of the established Orthodox churches in the colonies.

Thomas Jefferson worried that the courts would overstep their authority and instead of interpreting the law would begin making law… an oligarchy… the rule of few over many.

The very first Supreme Court Justice, John Jay, said, “Americans should select and prefer Christians as their rulers.”

How, then, have we gotten to the point that everything we have done for 220 years in this country is now suddenly wrong and unconstitutional?

Please forward this to everyone you can. Let’s put it around the world and let the world see what this country was built on…

“In God we trust” in all things give thanks to God.

Pass it around. Send a message to our judges!!

The Father’s Love – 4:05 p.m. http://myfathersdoor.local/the-fathers-love/ Thu, 27 Aug 2026 21:03:57 +0000 http://myfathersdoor.local/?p=457 I am consistently reminded of the love our heavenly Father has for each of us is represented in the love an earthly father has for his children.

Yeshua (Jesus) has commanded each of us that would call to him to take up our cross and follow him and his example of how to live. He teaches us of each of his commands but sums them up with love.

“Love God the Father with all your heart, mind, and soul.”

“Love your neighbor as yourself.”

Everything else is derivative of these. Our Father in Heaven seeks that each and ever one should come to Him and not perish and Yeshua (Jesus) is the Bridge to the Father.

Remember a cycle can be broken by giving that which we seek. Love is the answer. The source of love? God the Father, the entity of love.

Our Country – 12:43 p.m. http://myfathersdoor.local/country/ Thu, 27 Aug 2026 17:42:02 +0000 http://myfathersdoor.local/?p=450 The headlines in the few remaining newspapers of integrity and unbiased truth tells the tale. From the Columbine shootings, the attack by terrorists that fateful day on 9/11 and pursuit of Osama bin Laden, Operation Desert Storm and Saddam Hussein, The Afghanistan war and Operation Enduring Freedom to dismantle al-Qaeda and overthrow the ruling Taliban, US withdrawal from Afghanistan and the return of the Taliban, Russian invasion of Ukraine, and war with Iran.

We read of West Coast forest fires which have cost many lives. millions if not billions in property damage, and damaged the US lumber business considerably and has been a major factor in the price escalation of new homes.

We read of drought where the lake Powel water level has dropped to dangerous levels. Other areas of our country have faced floods from storms like Hurricane Helene causing the death of approx. 100 people and extensive property loss.

Our public education system is a shambles to the point so many of our children graduate not being able read or write properly. This lack of education has forced American business to hire workers from over seas to fill their workforces, particularly in tech and healthcare.

Every day, millions of cars and the factory waste dumped into our air, rivers and lakes is rapidly destroying our natural environment.

Recent headlines spoke of the $40 Trillion national debt, a hard cash number that does not exist. This costs the US government approx. $1 trillion each year in interest.

It would seem that these events point to an unrecoverable future and with no way to stop this speeding train from a cataclysmic crash.

Jeremiah 1 NIV

4 The Lord said to me, “From the north disaster will be poured out on all who live in the land. 15 I am about to summon all the peoples of the northern kingdoms,” declares the Lord.

“Their kings will come and set up their thrones
    in the entrance of the gates of Jerusalem;
they will come against all her surrounding walls
    and against all the towns of Judah.
16 I will pronounce my judgments on my people
    because of their wickedness in forsaking me,
in burning incense to other gods
    and in worshiping what their hands have made.

Jeremiah 2 NIV

The word of the Lord came to me: 2 “Go and proclaim in the hearing of Jerusalem:

“This is what the Lord says:

“‘I remember the devotion of your youth,
    how as a bride you loved me
and followed me through the wilderness,
    through a land not sown.
3 Israel was holy to the Lord,
    the first fruits of his harvest;
all who devoured her were held guilty,
    and disaster overtook them,’”
declares the Lord.

4 Hear the word of the Lord, you descendants of Jacob,
    all you clans of Israel.

5 This is what the Lord says:

“What fault did your ancestors find in me,
    that they strayed so far from me?
They followed worthless idols
    and became worthless themselves.
6 They did not ask, ‘Where is the Lord,
    who brought us up out of Egypt
and led us through the barren wilderness,
    through a land of deserts and ravines,
a land of drought and utter darkness,
    a land where no one travels and no one lives?’
7 I brought you into a fertile land
    to eat its fruit and rich produce.
But you came and defiled my land
    and made my inheritance detestable.
8 The priests did not ask,
    ‘Where is the Lord?’
Those who deal with the law did not know me;
    the leaders rebelled against me.
The prophets prophesied by Baal,
    following worthless idols.

9 “Therefore I bring charges against you again,”
declares the Lord.
    “And I will bring charges against your children’s children.
10 Cross over to the coasts of Cyprus and look,
    send to Kedar[a] and observe closely;
    see if there has ever been anything like this:
11 Has a nation ever changed its gods?
    (Yet they are not gods at all.)
But my people have exchanged their glorious God
    for worthless idols.
12 Be appalled at this, you heavens,
    and shudder with great horror,”
declares the Lord.
13 “My people have committed two sins:
They have forsaken me,
    the spring of living water,
and have dug their own cisterns,
    broken cisterns that cannot hold water.
14 Is Israel a servant, a slave by birth?
    Why then has he become plunder?
15 Lions have roared;
    they have growled at him.
They have laid waste his land;
    his towns are burned and deserted.
16 Also, the men of Memphis and Tahpanhes
    have cracked your skull.
17 Have you not brought this on yourselves
    by forsaking the Lord your God
    when he led you in the way?
18 Now why go to Egypt
    to drink water from the Nile[b]?
And why go to Assyria
    to drink water from the Euphrates?
19 Your wickedness will punish you;
    your backsliding will rebuke you.
Consider then and realize
    how evil and bitter it is for you
when you forsake the Lord your God
    and have no awe of me,”
declares the Lord, the Lord Almighty.

20 “Long ago you broke off your yoke
    and tore off your bonds;
    you said, ‘I will not serve you!’
Indeed, on every high hill
    and under every spreading tree
    you lay down as a prostitute.
21 I had planted you like a choice vine
    of sound and reliable stock.
How then did you turn against me
    into a corrupt, wild vine?
22 Although you wash yourself with soap
    and use an abundance of cleansing powder,
    the stain of your guilt is still before me,”
declares the Sovereign Lord.
23 “How can you say, ‘I am not defiled;
    I have not run after the Baals’?
See how you behaved in the valley;
    consider what you have done.
You are a swift she-camel
    running here and there,
24 a wild donkey accustomed to the desert,
    sniffing the wind in her craving—
    in her heat who can restrain her?
Any males that pursue her need not tire themselves;
    at mating time they will find her.
25 Do not run until your feet are bare
    and your throat is dry.
But you said, ‘It’s no use!
    I love foreign gods,
    and I must go after them.’

26 “As a thief is disgraced when he is caught,
    so the people of Israel are disgraced—
they, their kings and their officials,
    their priests and their prophets.
27 They say to wood, ‘You are my father,’
    and to stone, ‘You gave me birth.’
They have turned their backs to me
    and not their faces;
yet when they are in trouble, they say,
    ‘Come and save us!’
28 Where then are the gods you made for yourselves?
    Let them come if they can save you
    when you are in trouble!
For you, Judah, have as many gods
    as you have towns.

29 “Why do you bring charges against me?
    You have all rebelled against me,”
declares the Lord.
30 “In vain I punished your people;
    they did not respond to correction.
Your sword has devoured your prophets
    like a ravenous lion.

31 “You of this generation, consider the word of the Lord:

“Have I been a desert to Israel
    or a land of great darkness?
Why do my people say, ‘We are free to roam;
    we will come to you no more’?
32 Does a young woman forget her jewelry,
    a bride her wedding ornaments?
Yet my people have forgotten me,
    days without number.
33 How skilled you are at pursuing love!
    Even the worst of women can learn from your ways.
34 On your clothes is found
    the lifeblood of the innocent poor,
    though you did not catch them breaking in.
Yet in spite of all this
35     you say, ‘I am innocent;
    he is not angry with me.’
But I will pass judgment on you
    because you say, ‘I have not sinned.’
36 Why do you go about so much,
    changing your ways?
You will be disappointed by Egypt
    as you were by Assyria.
37 You will also leave that place
    with your hands on your head,
for the Lord has rejected those you trust;
    you will not be helped by them.

America, get on your knees!

We cannot fix our problems. But, God can! Come together in revival and pray to our maker. Repent our ways and turn to the Lord. Ask Yeshua (Jesus) to come into your life and forgive you of your sins. He suffered on the cross to bridge the gap between man and God so you can approach God’s Throne! What an incredible gift! Thank Him from the bottom of your heart!

Trust Yeshua (Jesus) with everything about you and live for Him. Confess your sins and pray each day for the revival of our land.

Amen!

a difficult time – 11:39 a.m. http://myfathersdoor.local/a-difficult-time/ Fri, 31 Jul 2026 16:39:34 +0000 http://myfathersdoor.local/?p=441 I sit here at my desk, marveling how the years have passed as I think about events of the boy’s life from a young child to his high school years. The last post ended at the time the little boy was nearly in his teens and would soon start a new school after attending the previous school for 6 years.

Watching the kids today and seeing their environment in school makes me wonder if this young teen would have made it through in this present-day school environment, but I am reminded as I write this, God was with him all the way, both then and now.

Jr. High

The first year seemed better in many ways. The young boy played football as well as basketball and track. His grades were A’s and his socialization was improved somewhat but he lost his best friend after starting school as she (his sister) was a senior in High school by then and involved in her own social life. Other than the same kind of treatment by classmates and teachers, he was able to move on until the following year. His family moved to a new neighborhood resulting in yet another school, it was at this new school where the changes most young kids start to go through mentally and physically along with new classmates and new teachers. The anger began to roar constantly resulting in regular fights and trouble with authorities as a result of the constant teasing and misunderstanding he experienced because of his hearing loss. 9th grade was his best year in school. He played football and did ok academically. That year he was one of the oldest and had grown into a large young man at well over 6’ and nearly 200 lbs.

High School

Now a young man in high school and beginning adolescence, with all the changes that come normally, his problems from birth were exacerbated. As if that were not enough, football brought on head injuries such as concussions and constant headaches, resulting in regular seizure activity. As with all kids, there were normal life experiences too. His first car, his first girlfriend, etc.

His 2nd year in high school ended up with him in the hospital often with testing, being placed on prescribed meds and eventually staying home with a tutor coming to his house for his schoolwork. The one good thing about football, it gave the young man an outlet. A place to pour out the tremendous anger he was now enduring. Even his sisters were afraid to be around him at times. Only his mother was by his side through it all, but she and his dad were afraid of him getting into trouble, eventually placing him in a hospital for treatment and a safe place to be kept out of harm’s way, or so they thought. No more football so no more release and no direction to channel the anger.

The Dr., overseeing his care and testing, added even more pills for him to take, making his daily input a total of 14 pills per day. One was given for calming yet another to offset the first and so on. Resulting in a literal “zombie” like countenance. This all ended when his mother and father discovered his Dr. had ordered the young man to be locked in a small room, laying on a bed face down in a straight jacket for several days.

Back at home, the young man finished out the school year. The tutor kept him from having to repeat the year although, academically, he learned nothing. There were, of course, more incidents but the following summer brought a much-needed reprieve, as he and his parents took a vacation to the Caribbean for 10 days where all the negatives were removed. It was at that time he realized the only way out was to simply get out. He cut down his meds gradually until he could completely cut them all. Slowly, quietly, his mind cleared, he was able to focus on getting his school finished and figure out what came next.

Once again, God was there and God orchestrated the young man’s miraculous recovery from those terrible adolescence years.

Our Churches – 11:00 a.m. http://myfathersdoor.local/our-churches-1100-a-m/ Fri, 31 Jul 2026 16:00:21 +0000 http://myfathersdoor.local/?p=435 Pray for our churches as they are under constant attack by Satan. Pray for God the blow the Shofar (Spiritual wake-up call: The loud blast tells people to look inside themselves and say sorry for past mistakes.)

The church in America has become a Jesus fan club with our focus on the rock concert-like music festivals, programs and activities inside of large expensive buildings that sit empty most of each week.

Our pastors are exhausted. Pray they, like Moses, hear the advice given him by Jethro to delegate, allowing others to step in. Pray our pastors have an Aaron and a Hur to hold his arms up in support.

Pray we, as the church body, focus on Yeshua’s (Jesus’) commands for each to love GOD with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. Then to love each other. His commands can be summed up in these two things, the rest are a direct result of such.

Pray for and reach out to one another. Seek community and friendship in the body. Many attendees are alone even though they may be surrounded.

Set the Christ-like example, not just with words, but with how we live.

Tell the world of the Good News of the Gospel! Corporately and individually.

Pray now that she hears God’s call!

Staying The Course – 10:05 a.m. http://myfathersdoor.local/staying-the-course/ Fri, 31 Jul 2026 15:02:33 +0000 http://myfathersdoor.local/?p=429 These past few weeks I find myself off balance a bit and tired. Not really sure what may be going on, I have made efforts to discover this through medical attention. Like so many, I feel a tendency to want to let up on my day to day activity’s. That’s unusual for me as I have always been a hard worker and not one to sit still. This morning, after a great night’s sleep, still felt off.

Today, during my devotional / prayer time I was reading Dr. Graham’s topic, “When Judgement Comes” after praying about the balance issue. Dr. Graham was taking about how God judges us, not only when we die, but during our life here as well and to guard ourselves constantly from the attacks of Satan.

Following up with the reference scripture, 1 Peter 4:17, I reviewed the associated “Hope Notes” Joel Osteen includes in my Hope Bible which , in this case, talks about Balanced Living. How we get out of balance with the burdens we face everyday and to let God handle these things for us. Seems I have tried to handle too much on my own.

I love how God teaches new things everyday and encourages us to stay the course!

why pray? 12:55 a.m. http://myfathersdoor.local/why-pray-1255-a-m/ Thu, 18 Jun 2026 07:06:17 +0000 http://myfathersdoor.local/?p=422 Recently the morning’s devotional by Dr. Billy Graham brought up an oft asked question: “If God already knows our needs, why pray?” Dr. Graham went on with the comparison to parents and their children and how we, as parents, want our children to come to us with their requests. We love them and delight in listening even when we sometimes say no, knowing what’s best for them.

I was reminded how I spent time talking, singing, laughing, and telling stories with my children. Many times it would be while driving them to school in the morning or picking them up on the days I was not working. Other times it would be more. I often explained to them they should never be afraid to talk to me about anything, that I would be there for them no matter what.

It was at that moment the light came on for me. My Father in Heaven wants this of me just as I did of my children. In this moment of grace, I felt drawn closer to Him.

Mathew 6:8

Don’t be like them, for your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him!

Hebrews 4:16

So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.

dreams – 6:11 p.m. http://myfathersdoor.local/dreams/ Fri, 12 Jun 2026 22:43:00 +0000 http://myfathersdoor.local/?p=388 As a residential construction professional I have often dreamed of building my house that I personally designed and doing the work myself. My wife of 40 years has asked of me a Santa Fe style home with an open center courtyard, something perfect in style for our area as well as a favorite of both of ours

Many times I hear pastors preach about hanging on to your dreams as they are God given and to never let go. I have followed this teaching for a long time but as the years role by and after an illness set in these past few years I have admittedly begun to wonder. Not if God will help me fulfill our dream, but if I am even able to do the work any longer. Do I even wish to pursue? Pretty tired these days but with God, everything is possible.

We have lived in lease properties for most of our lives together, leaving me to yearn for a home. American dream and all that.

The other day, while having my daily devotional study and prayer time, my thoughts drifted back to this dream. I then heard the Lord call my name;

Money – 2:39 p.m. http://myfathersdoor.local/money/ Thu, 11 Jun 2026 19:37:49 +0000 http://myfathersdoor.local/?p=368 These past few weeks the United States has been at war with Iran in support of Israel. As the weeks went by Iran began to cut off passage through the Strait of Hormuz causing a serious cessation of regular shipping throughout the world of oil.

Consumer costs have escalated due to pandemic-era supply chain breakdowns, massive central bank money expansion to fund fiscal deficits, global energy shocks, structural labor and housing shortages, and recent trade tariffs. These factors created compounding cycles of cost-push and demand-pull inflation.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics highlights the primary specific drivers accelerating prices across the economy:

  • Housing & Shelter: Ongoing severe housing deficits and rising mortgage rates forced rental and homeownership costs upward, single-handedly accounting for nearly two-fifths of current annual inflation.
  • Energy & Oil Shocks: Protracted geopolitical conflicts in the Middle East and supply curbs pushed gasoline and utility costs to multi-year highs, trickling down to all shipping and manufacturing expenses.
  • Trade Tariffs: Broad baseline duties on imported goods increased the manufacturing and retail costs of everyday items.
  • Artificial Intelligence Infrastructure: Unprecedented capital booms in AI required immense compute and data center capacity, which strained domestic power grids and increased everyday electronics costs.
  • Corporate Profit-Taking & Shrinkflation: As supply chains struggled, large producers took the opportunity to pad profit margins and reduce package quantities without lowering prices (shrinkflation)

The American public has sought to blame our politicians for their troubles. Yet, behind these media stories, government reports, and politicians rhetoric it comes down to greed and focus on attaining material wealth, money, and for some, power.

The Lord has much to say about greed and wealth. Pray for a return to The Father, focusing on Him and not money. Yeshua (Hebrew for Jesus) suffered greatly and died for us that we would follow Him to paradise. Amen.

Psalm 73

Truly God is good to Israel, to those whose hearts are pure. But as for me, I almost lost my footing. My feet were slipping, and I was almost gone. For I envied the proud when I saw them prosper despite their wickedness. They seem to live such painless lives; their bodies are so healthy and strong. They don’t have troubles like other people; they’re not plagued with problems like everyone else. They wear pride like a jeweled necklace and clothe themselves with cruelty. These fat cats have everything their hearts could ever wish for! They scoff and speak only evil; in their pride they seek to crush others. They boast against the very heavens, and their words strut throughout the earth. And so the people are dismayed and confused, drinking in all their words. “What does God know?” they ask. “Does the Most High even know what’s happening?” Look at these wicked people— enjoying a life of ease while their riches multiply. Did I keep my heart pure for nothing? Did I keep myself innocent for no reason? I get nothing but trouble all day long; every morning brings me pain. If I had really spoken this way to others, I would have been a traitor to your people. So I tried to understand why the wicked prosper. But what a difficult task it is! Then I went into your sanctuary, O God, and I finally understood the destiny of the wicked. Truly, you put them on a slippery path and send them sliding over the cliff to destruction. In an instant they are destroyed, completely swept away by terrors. When you arise, O Lord, you will laugh at their silly ideas as a person laughs at dreams in the morning. Then I realized that my heart was bitter, and I was all torn up inside. I was so foolish and ignorant— I must have seemed like a senseless animal to you. Yet I still belong to you; you hold my right hand. You guide me with your counsel, leading me to a glorious destiny. Whom have I in heaven but you? I desire you more than anything on earth. My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; he is mine forever. Those who desert him will perish, for you destroy those who abandon you. But as for me, how good it is to be near God! I have made the Sovereign LORD my shelter, and I will tell everyone about the wonderful things you do.

Psalm 62:10

Don’t make your living by extortion or put your hope in stealing. And if your wealth increases, don’t make it the center of your life.

Matthew 6:24

“No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.

Luke 12:15 / 12:33 – 34

Then he said, “Beware! Guard against every kind of greed. Life is not measured by how much you own.”

Sell your possessions and give to those in need. This will store up treasure for you in heaven! And the purses of heaven never get old or develop holes. Your treasure will be safe; no thief can steal it and no moth can destroy it. Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.

1st Timothy 6:7-10

After all, we brought nothing with us when we came into the world, and we can’t take anything with us when we leave it. So if we have enough food and clothing, let us be content. But people who long to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows.

Hebrews 13:5

Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, “I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.”

1st Peter 5:2

Care for the flock that God has entrusted to you. Watch over it willingly, not grudgingly—not for what you will get out of it, but because you are eager to serve God.

Psalm 49

Listen to this, all you people! Pay attention, everyone in the world! High and low, rich and poor—listen! For my words are wise, and my thoughts are filled with insight. I listen carefully to many proverbs and solve riddles with inspiration from a harp. Why should I fear when trouble comes, when enemies surround me? They trust in their wealth and boast of great riches. Yet they cannot redeem themselves from death by paying a ransom to God. Redemption does not come so easily, for no one can ever pay enough to live forever and never see the grave. Those who are wise must finally die, just like the foolish and senseless, leaving all their wealth behind. The grave is their eternal home, where they will stay forever. They may name their estates after themselves, but their fame will not last. They will die, just like animals. This is the fate of fools, though they are remembered as being wise. Interlude Like sheep, they are led to the grave, where death will be their shepherd. In the morning the godly will rule over them. Their bodies will rot in the grave, far from their grand estates. But as for me, God will redeem my life. He will snatch me from the power of the grave. Interlude So don’t be dismayed when the wicked grow rich and their homes become ever more splendid. For when they die, they take nothing with them. Their wealth will not follow them into the grave. In this life they consider themselves fortunate and are applauded for their success. But they will die like all before them and never again see the light of day. People who boast of their wealth don’t understand; they will die, just like animals.
